Matt D Engelhardt
Welcome Coach Matt to DFAC Swimming! Matt started his swimming career with DFAC where he swam for 10 years, and was a multi-time State, Speedo Sectionals and Zones qualifier. He also swam for the DeForest High School Boys’ swim team, where he was a 3-time state qualifier and earned all-state honors in the 100 Backstroke. Matt went on to compete for the UW-Oshkosh swim and dive team for 3 seasons where he was a part of school record setting 200 and 400 Freestyle, and 400 Medley relay teams for the Titans, and was elected as WIAC swimmer of the week. Prior to joining DFAC, Matt was an assistant coach for 1 year with the Wausau Tide Swim Club and head coach for the Horrace Mann Middle School girls’ swim team in Wausau, WI. In his free time, Matt enjoys biking, camping, and reading. He is very excited to join the DFAC coaching staff, and to be involved with the team that created his intense passion for the sport of swimming.
Cindy A Mitchell-Potter
Cindy Mitchell-Potter has been a key part of the DFAC coaching staff for 10 years. Cindy is originally from Ishpeming, MI where she swam varsity for four years in high school, setting school and conference records. She swam two years with an AAU club and one year in college. Cindy has a wealth of experience working with children, beginning as a swimming instructor in community education programs, and later as a teacher at both the elementary and college level. She has an undergraduate degree in elementary education from the University of Dubuque and a graduate degree from Minnesota State University. She worked as a clinical psychologist in Albert Lea, MN for five years prior to moving to Wisconsin. Cindy lives in the DeForest/Windsor area, where she enjoys volunteer work and spending time with her family.
Tammy T Tollefson-Meixner
Tammy Tollefson Meixner has been an important part of the DFAC coaching team for 10 years. Prior to joining DFAC, Tammy taught private and group swimming lessons, lifeguarded, and was the director of a pool for 10 summers. Tammy's experience working with youth and teenagers also includes working as a French teacher for middle and high school students for many years. Prior to teaching, Tammy worked as a project director for a medical company for 10 years. Tammy is grateful for the opportunity to work with an incredible coaching staff and all of our swimmers. Tammy holds a master’s degree in French and a bachelor’s degree in Economics from UW Madison.
